Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), is coming on a three-day visit to Nepal today at the invitation of Health and Population Minister Birodh Khatiwada.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Tedros will be joined by the Regional Director of the WHO South East Asia Regional Office, Dr. Poonam Khetrapal Singh, and other WHO officials during his visit.
Dr. Tedros will meet with President Bidya Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, and National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina on this occasion.
The visiting Director-General will also meet Foreign Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka and Health Minister Khatiwada, according to the foreign ministry.
