Govt imposes ban on import of motorcycles above 150 CC

The government has imposed a ban on the import of motorcycles with a capacity of more than 150 CC.

On the proposal of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, the government has banned the importation of motorbikes with a capacity of more than 150 CC.

Prior to this, imports of bikes with engines up to 250 CC were permitted; however, imports of all motorcycles and scooters with engines larger than 150 CC are now banned.

Additionally, the government has kept its restriction on importing automobiles, vans, and jeeps powered by petroleum fuels.

Along with cars, all breeds of dogs, Kurmure, televisions larger than 32 inches, cigarettes, tobacco goods, all forms of prepared alcohol, jewels, mobile phones costing more than $300, TVs, and all kinds of toys have also been outlawed.
