Parliamentary committee to probe Finance Minister Janardan Sharma

A parliamentary committee will be formed to look into allegations that Finance Minister Janardan Sharma brought unauthorised people into the ministry during the budget process in order to change tax rates.

Minister Sharma is accused of bringing former nayab subba (non-gazetted first-class government employee) Raghunath Ghimire and others to the ministry during the budget’s finalisation on May 28 night in order to change tax rates.

According to a Baluwatar source, the parliamentary committee that will be formed on Wednesday will investigate those allegations.
