Finance Minister Janardan Sharma resigns from his post
KATHMANDU, July 6 – Finance Minister Janardan Sharma resigned on Wednesday.
Finance Minister Sharma announced his resignation to the House of Representatives (HoR) following the formation of an 11-member parliamentary committee to investigate the involvement of unofficial personnel in the budget formulation process.
Previously, the main opposition party, the CPN-UML, demanded a parliamentary investigation after accusing Finance Minister Sharma of involving two unofficial personnel in the Budget formulation process.
